Two meetings took place in the month of June 2011. The Gulfport meeting was held at the Gulf Regional Planning Commission office (GRPC) and the Jackson meeting took place at the Central Mississippi Planning and Development office (CMPDD).
Gulfport Meeting Notes
- Charles Meador of the USM Marine Science department presented regarding Marine Science and GIS.
- Scott Delano, cheap Mississippi representative for district 117, troche discussed data needs and GIS in the state.
- An announcement was made to the group regarding the need for volunteers for committees.
Jackson Meeting Notes
- Dr. David Holt presented regarding a data collection project in Long Beach, MS. The project involved the collection of address points, building foot prints and data related to the city cemetery layout.
- New data sets have been uploaded to the state GIS data warehouse including street centerlines for many delta counties.
Charles Meador presented regarding Marine Science and GIS.
