  • Mardi Gras Metadata Mambo

Many of you may know Lynda Wayne ‘The Duck Lady’.

Lynda was bored and penned a nerdy metadata version of the Iko – Iko song titled ISO – ISO to celebrate the new metadata standard.

Here is the tune just in case it has been too long and Lynda’s original lyrics below.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB3gQl2WFZI

    My Edith told your Jaci

    Girl you ain’t no liar

This standard’s full of brand new stuff

That sets the bar much higher

    Talkin’ bout, hey now

    Hey now

    ISO – ISO someday

    Learning them codes and UML

    Learning them for my pay

Look at my bookcase, filled with versions

    Of each and every standard

    Labeled FCD and DIS

    Until every tag’s been bantered

    Talkin’ bout, hey now

    Hey now

    ISO – ISO someday

    Learning them codes and UML

    Learning them for my pay

    My Jennifer told your Habermann

    It ain’t no big quagmire

Sure hope we can make the change

    Before we both retire

    Talkin’ bout, hey now

    Hey now

    ISO – ISO someday

    Learning them codes and UML

    Learning them for my pay

Our man Danko has the task

    ISO-ISO someday

    Presenting to anyone that asks

    How the standards play

    Talking bout, hey now

    Hey now

    Danko Danko  someday

    Learning them codes and UML

    Learning them for my pay

    My agency told your agency

It’s time to get on board

The ISO train is pulling out

    And will not be ignored

    Talking bout, hey now

    Hey now

    ISO – ISO someday

    Learning them codes and UML

    Learning them for my pay

We’re all heading to ISO town

    ISO-ISO someday

Go to the wiki and mess around

    Push them ISO blues away
